We are proud to share one of our most rewarding restorations: a 1957 Mercedes 300SL Roadster. This car sat in our customer’s barn for over 40 years before arriving at RM Motorsports. What we received was a stripped body, no engine, and countless parts scattered in boxes and bags — an actual puzzle waiting to be solved. Over the course of 2½ years, our team carefully evaluated each piece: restoring what was possible, and sourcing rare parts directly from Mercedes-Benz in Germany when necessary. The result? A stunning 300SL Roadster, complete with both hardtop and convertible, is now back home with its owner. Projects like this remind us why we love what we do — preserving history, one car at a time.
